Description
Cooper, TX - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 623 The Farmers National Bank Ch. # (S)10626 PMG Very Fine 20.This very rare note is one of just four examples reported from this short-lived northeast Texas issuer. Opening in 1914, the bank issued just a handful of Third Charter notes before the receiver arrived in 1921. This is the first of the known quartet to make a public appearance since 2005 and it is an attractive mid-grade Date Back with pleasing color and solid paper. With one of the other known examples locked away in an institutional collection, it could be quite some time before another opportunity arises to acquire this rare charter.
