Description

Low Serial Number 13 in High Grade

Serial Number 13 Bahamas Bahamas Government 100 Dollars 1965 Pick 25a PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
The Bahamas Government issued its first series of decimal notes dated 1965. The previous series of Sterling notes featured a 5 Pound note as the highest denomination of the series, which was roughly equivalent to about $15 in new decimal notes. As such, this stunning $100 note had more than four times the spending power of the highest denomination of the previous series. Therefore, few survived as collectibles to be enjoyed today. This Gem Uncirculated example features a special two-digit serial number, and thankfully was saved to be collected and enjoyed today. A key note of the series and one of the most desirable notes to feature the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
