Description

Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency 10 Riyals ND (1953) / AH1372 Pick 1 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
From 1953 to 1961 the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority was unable to issue currency, so it instead issued Haj Pilgrim Receipts. This light green type note is the first of the series and it is rarely seen today in high grade. The first true series of banknotes was issued in 1961, and these pilgrim receipts were withdrawn in 1965. Rare in good collector grade and very popular today.
