Portuguese India Banco Nacional Ultramarino 600 Escudos 2.1.1959 Pick 45 Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 12.39.6Crisp paper and bright color adorn this scarce note. It is from the final signature combination as the Indian invasion of Goa loomed in the near future with Operation Vijay commencing on December 18, 1961. Thirty-six hours later, 451 years of Portuguese colonial rule ended. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 with mention of a spindle hole and pinholes at issue on the back of the holder.
