Famously Rare Issued 10 Balboas of 1941
Panama Banco Central de Emision 10 Balboas 1941 Pick 24a
PMG Very Fine 25.Panama's 1941 series of banknotes is notoriously rare in any format, as issuance lasted a mere seven days. Less than half of the printed notes were issued by the bank, with the balance being destroyed after that first week. After issuance ceased, these notes were redeemed and exchanged for United States Dollars. Few were saved for posterity, and that is especially true of the higher denominations. This incredible 10 Balboas is only the third we have offered in issued format. PMG has graded a mere 18 examples to date. A cute three digit serial number is seen on this lucky survivor. Some lightened rust is mentioned for accuracy. Good eye appeal and famed rarity will excite collectors worldwide seeking to acquire this key denomination.
