Macau Banco Nacional Ultramarino 5 Patacas 1.1.1924 Pick 8s KNB9s Specimen PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
A visually stunning and grandly sized Specimen, and rare in any grade and any format. This interesting example has a red overprint along with a plethora of hole punched cancellations. Simply beautiful, and seldom offered. At the time of cataloging, there are only seven examples graded in the PMG Population Report. It is important to mention that 80% of these notes were overprinted and issued in Timor, leaving true Macau examples to be very rare. In fact, this exact example is the plate note in the Macau chapter of The Banknote Book.
