Japan Greater Japan Imperial National Bank, Tokyo #15 1 Yen ND (1873) Pick 10 JNDA 11-14 PMG Very Fine 25.
A well preserved Tokyo Branch #15 example from the 1873 Convertible Issue. This lovely example features the duel vignettes of the mythical warrior Kamitsukeno no Taji and an ancient warship on the front and a large vignette representing the 13th century Mongol invasions of Japan on the back. No examples of this pick number graded above Very Fine are recorded in the PMG Population Report.
