Rare 50 Dollars in Issued Format

Hong Kong Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China 50 Dollars 1.11.1934 Pick 56 KNB36 PMG Choice Fine 15.
A surviving high denomination from this Hong Kong bank that is very rare in any grade. Printed by Waterlow & Sons this issue displays an image of a helmeted warrior on the front while a scenery of a wheat harvest graces the back. The four seals on the back represent Britain, India, Australia and China, hence recalling the full name of the bank. Third party grading company mentions ink and repairs but that does not negate the scarcity of this example.

極罕見伍拾員流通票「火燭鬼」

1934年印度新金山中國渣打銀行伍拾員。PMG Choice Fine 15。
這張有幸流傳至今的香港鈔票「火燭鬼」不論評分都是極罕的珍品。此鈔由華德路父子公司印製，於正面印有頭戴戰盔的士兵圖案，而背面則印有收割稻米的場景。背面的四幅圓形圖案分別代表英國、印度、澳洲及中國，四地地名共同構成了此銀行的名字。第三方評級公司提到此鈔帶有墨污和修補痕跡，但並不影響此例難以企及的珍稀程度。
