Description
Haiti Banque de la Republique 50 Gourdes 1979 Tyvek Pick 235bThe famous Tyvek note that is the darling of any modern Haitian or polymer collection. This note, along with a few other designs, were the genesis of polymer notes, introduced before CSIRO's Guardian notes. These notes were printed on Tyvek which, for people familiar with the house wrap, did not hold ink too well, especially in tropical climates. Because the ink smudging seen on almost all Tyvek issues, this project was dropped a few years later. Very rare in this condition. Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
