Description

Rarely Seen 50 Mark of 1882

Germany Imperial Treasury Note 50 Mark 10.1.1882 Pick 6 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
A remarkably rare German Empire Treasury note, backed by gold coinage. This was the highest of three denominations issued in 1882. PMG has graded only four examples at the time of writing, and we have not offered this type in the past. Mild circulation and good colors produce a nice visual appeal though the third party holder. Underrated, and equal parts pretty and rare. Not to be overlooked.

Estimate: $5,000 - up.
