Description

Germany Federal Republic Giori Press Test Notes circa 1950s 15 Subject Uncut Sheet.
A most interesting black ink uncut sheet that in the middle column shows five of the German Giori test notes with President Jefferson being the middle portrait. Three of the individual notes have this same design of the three United States president's faces on both sides, while two have this face paired with the Lincoln Memorial back. The two outside columns have notes in a vertical format on the left and in a horizontal format on the right declaring, "Governor and Company." Both use a similar female portrait and other design features for both sides of six of the notes, while four share this design with a building vignette on the back. We have handled several Giori uncut sheets of the notes printed in Geneva, New York, but this is the first uncut sheet of German Gioris that we have been able to offer. PCGS Very Fine 35 with contemporary inscriptions which read, "1st direct" on the darker printed face side and "2nd direct" on the little lighter back.
