Scarce 5 Taels of 1855

China Board of Revenue 5 Taels 1855 (Yr. 5) Pick A11c S/M#H176-22 PMG Very Fine 20.
A handsome, large format type from the Ch'ing Dynasty. This date and denomination are quite rare, with PMG grading only 16 examples at the time of cataloging. A spindle hole at issue is mentioned for accuracy. This piece is part of an extensive collection of Cash and Tael denominated notes from the 1850s.
