China Banque Industrielle de Chine, Tientsin 10 Dollars 25.10.1917 Pick S400a S/M#C254-3 PMG Very Fine 25.
An earlier date is seen on this elusive example, especially as an issued note. The French capitalized Banque Industrielle de Chine was in operation for only a short time, from 1913 to 1944, and issued only a small amount of notes during this time for various cities. Unfortunately for the bank, it competed with the larger Banque de l'Indochine. Because the bank did not go bankrupt and went under an orderly liquidation process, most notes were redeemed.
