China Bank of Communications 10 Dollars 1.7.1913 Pick 111As S/M#C126-40 Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
Among the highest graded examples we have auctioned. The detailed train vignette at front is almost photorealistic and three-dimensional. The equally well executed vignette on the back presents the bank building. Great technical skill is required to produce the effect of such dramatic lighting in an engraved image. The selvage included on this Specimen note features a fascinating array of printer's stamps and information. Only the printer's stamp is mentioned on the holder. There are two POCs at bottom.
