Canada St. John's, NF- Commercial Bank of Newfoundland $2 3.1.1888 Pick S112 Ch.# 185-18-02 PMG Choice Fine 15.Two different color counters were used for the 1888 $2 issue. The first was green, as seen here. The other, orange, came later and is seen in a beautiful example in the next lot of this auction. The survey points to just a handful of survivors, none of which are known above the Fine grade level. Even the example in the National Currency Collection grades Fine.
