Canada Halifax, NS- Bank of Nova Scotia $4 1.7.1870 Ch.# 550-16-02a PCGS Apparent Good 6.An extremely rare interesting denomination from the Bank of Nova Scotia. This was their first banknote series denominated in Dollars. Notice the red vertical overprints at front. It is believed that the number of these notes in private hands is in the single digits. To date, PMG has not graded any examples of this note. The offering here, albeit in low grade, with splits, damage, and extensive repairs, may be one of only a few extant. Of the highest degree of rarity and worthy of serious consideration.
