Belgian Congo banknotes are popular with collectors worldwide, with those in the best of grades commanding spirited bidding and fanfare. This small denomination was a workhorse in the late 1920s and 1930s, but oddly, it was printed on thin, frail paper. This example is utterly remarkable, as it is completely pack fresh, clean, and fully Uncirculated. At the time of cataloging, it is the single finest graded example in the PMG Population Report. To date, this is the best example of this variety and, as such, is worth serious consideration. Amazingly rare in this elite grade.
