Belgian Congo Banque du Congo Belge 1000 Francs ND (1920) Pick 12ds Specimen PMG Very Fine 25 Net.A prime Specimen of the largest denomination from the early Belgian Congo issue with the payable at Matadi stamp. Printed by Banque Nationale de Belgique, this note features the class French artistry on both the face and back. Large diagonal red "Specimen" overprints are seen on both sides and the grading company mentions edge damage, foreign substance, and previous mounting. This is the sole graded example of the "Matadi" variety listed in the PMG Population Report.
