Completely Original Fr. 2308
Fr. 2308 $10 1934 Mule North Africa Silver Certificate. PCGS Gem
New 66PPQ.A North Africa $10 from the A-A block with near perfect centering, strong embossing of the right serial number, as bold of a yellow seal as we have ever encountered on any Fr. 2308, and counting marks at both left and right that show how completely original the paper of this ex-Eric Newman note is. This mule has micro face plate number 125 and macro back plate number 811. Only six different face plate numbers, 116, 122, 123, 125, 126, and 127, were used to print Fr. 2308. We also have two other different Fr. 2308 face plate numbers, 123 and 126, in this auction session. This is certainly a rare triumvirate of this rare small size note assembled by our consignor.
