Experimental C-B Block Rarity - Finest Certified by PMG
Low Serial Number 53 Fr. 1607 $1 1935 Silver Certificate. C-B
Experimental Block. PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.The Experimental C-B block $1 in this lot bears a low serial number C00000053B. While the Experimental A-B and B-B block notes were printed on special paper, examples from the Experimental C-B block were printed on regular paper from December 1 through December 10, 1937. PMG has graded just 47 representatives of the Experimental C-B block. Of that number, our current offering occupies the "top pop" spot and is the only example of this type and block to do so. We auctioned a PMG 67 EPQ representative with a low serial number 27 in January 2023 for $6,000.
