Lovely Low Serial Number A00000029A 1933 $10 Silver

Fr. 1700 $10 1933 Silver Certificate. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
One of the most important Friedberg numbers for the small size collector due to its rarity and numismatic significance as it is the only note with the, "Payable in silver coin to bearer on demand" clause. It is also a Friedberg number that all newly minted small size collectors soon realize is the key note in their specialty and also the most desired. Many Fr. 1700 notes come with low and/or fancy serial numbers. This example has both, as it is graced with serial number A00000029A. Many of the low and fancy serials have a provenance that goes back to collectors George Blake and Colonel E.H.R. Green. This piece has also been well preserved, and sports ideal color and paper originality that includes very bold embossing of both serial numbers and the Treasury Seal. Just over a year ago, another example in a PCGS 64PPQ holder with a five-digit serial number brought over $22,000 at auction. This lovely low number should certainly do much better.
