Description
An Uncut Sheet of 16 Giori Test Notes.This uniface sheet has eight face/back pairs and it is one of the nicer sheets we have seen, with no ink smearing and a sharp overall appearance. There are several folds, but none severely affects any individual note. Fewer and fewer of these sheets remain as they have been cut up over the years to obtain individual pairs. These test notes were printed on a Magna press in Geneva, New York in 1976 and they should have been destroyed at the time, but they were spirited away into the collector community. The cancellation bars across the portraits were meant to render these useless if someone had intentions of using them in a counterfeiting enterprise. Extremely Fine.
