Lovely Gem 1934A Atlanta $1,000 FRN
Fr. 2212-F $1,000 1934A Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem
Uncirculated 66 EPQ.While a sizable number of 80,000 1934A Atlanta $1,000 FRNs were printed, fewer than 40 have received a CU grade from PMG with that service having graded just two pieces finer than the pretty note we are offering in this lot. New to the Track & Price Census, it is lovely piece with four wide margins, blazing ink colors, and bold, original embossing. It has been several years since we auctioned an example of this Friedberg number at this grade level, but, last October, we did offer an identically graded note from the more available Chicago district which fetched $18,400. This attractive piece from Atlanta should do a bit better.
