Fr. 2212-B $1,000 1934A Federal Reserve Note. PMG Choice
Uncirculated 63.The lovely $1,000 FRN in this lot features broad but balanced margins with a nicely colored dark green overprint. Both the serial numbers and Treasury Seal are well embossed on this attractive Series 1934A piece from the New York district. With a touch more even face to back registration, this piece would have undoubtedly attained a higher grade. An Fr. 2212-B example certified at the PMG 63 level has not crossed our auction block since May 2024, when a note certified at the same grade as our current offering brought $6,900. While the piece in this lot does have a small amount of pinholes, it presents itself as a pleasing representative of an iconic small size type.
