Uncirculated 65 EPQ*.A gorgeous example, this DGS Mule from the elusive San Francisco district is tied for the finest graded by PMG. However, of the six notes graded at this lofty level, this is the only one of that half dozen to have also received PMG's "*" designation for exceptional eye appeal. And eye appeal it does have, as this pack fresh San Francisco $1,000 has striking originality, exemplary inks, and strong embossing. In last year's FUN auction, we sold another PMG Gem 65 EPQ example, without the "*" designation, for $11,400.
