Fr. 2211-I $1,000 1934 Mule Federal Reserve Note. PMG Superb Gem
Unc 67 EPQ.Centering is right on the nose for this well preserved Minneapolis $1,000 with wide, balanced margins. Strict paper originality is also noticed as bold serial number and Treasury Seal embossing adorn the back. PMG has graded only two other Fr. 2211-I Dark Green Seal mule notes as equal, with not a single example graded higher. Our experience with this number is that we have previously auctioned only one other PMG 67 EPQ Fr. 2211-I DGS mule. The last time it crossed our auction block was to the tune of $30,550 in April, 2015. An in depth look at our archives reveals that our current offering and the 2015 example are the only two 67 EPQ pieces that we have auctioned for the entire 1934 Series for this denomination. Therefore, those that seek the best for their collections will need to go toe to toe with other like minded collectors.
