One of Just Four 1934 Superb Gems Graded by PMG

Fr. 2211-I $1,000 1934 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.
Minneapolis issued the smallest number of $1,000 Federal Reserve Notes for the 1934 Series at just 12,000 pieces. A nice little run of Uncirculated notes has not kept the fervent collectors of Minneapolis notes satisfied, and this offering ranks among the best. A review of the PMG Population Report reveals that there are just four total 67 graded 1934 $1,000s for all districts combined. It is a 20th-century grade rarity that makes even grade rarities in coins look common. The margins, front and back, are perfect, set on brightly colored paper with ideal inks of the main design and overprint. In 2021, another 67 from this district topped the $45,000 mark, which is easily attainable today for just one of four examples of this grade available to collectors and investors.
