Fr. 2210-J $1,000 1928 Light Green Seal Federal Reserve Note.
PMG About Uncirculated 55.Our consignor won this attractive, lightly circulated Kansas City Light Green Seal $1,000 out of our January 1999 Orlando auction as lot 1005. That was a wise purchase as LGS $1,000s certainly have earned a great deal of respect since then. A quarter century later, a completely new generation of collectors will get to pursue it at auction. It has serial number J00033287A with quality traits of natural paper wrinkles plus Treasury Seal and serial number embossing. January 2024 saw us auction another AU Fr. 2210-J Light Green Seal example. It had serial J00033984A and graded PCGS Choice About New 58. That piece realized $8,700. Our current example may just easily outdistance that result.
