Uncirculated 53.Hailing from the Richmond district, this lovely and lightly circulated 1928 $1,000 has earned an About Uncirculated 53 grade from PMG. Taking a look at the PMG Population Report, one can conclude that Uncirculated examples are nearly impossible to locate, as a meager nine examples have reached this level. That leaves examples such as the beauty in this lot as a collector's best chance at obtaining a well preserved Fr. 2210-E without breaking the bank. Last May, we auctioned an equivalently graded PMG example for $8,400.
