Fr. 2210-C $1,000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Choice
Uncirculated 64 EPQ.Outside of a couple of districts, 1928 $1,000s in high grade are true modern grade rarities. While one finer example of this Philadelphia $1,000 is recorded in the PMG Population report, it has never appeared at auction. Only one other Uncirculated example has been offered at auction, and lower graded piece (64 with no premium paper qualifier) that realized more than $11,000. Comparisons in 64 EPQ or PPQ are hard, with a slightly more common Dallas 64 PPQ realizing $14,400 in 2019.
