Rare Richmond $500 FRN Star - One of Three Reported
Fr. 2202-E* $500 1934A Federal Reserve Star Note. PMG Very Fine
25.A pleasing mid-grade example of a very rare Richmond $500 FRN star that is one of just three replacement notes reported and the first of that trio to make a public appearance in almost ten years. PMG has noted a minor edge repair but, otherwise, this is a very attractive star with bright paper and sharp ink colors. For comparison purposes, we recently sold a 1934A New York $500 star, of which there are nine known, in a PMG Very Fine 30 holder, for $6,000.
