Description
Sole Finest Graded at PMG - Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ
Fr. 2150-C $100 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated
65 EPQ.A rarity in Uncirculated condition as there are just two Gems graded, a single PCGS 65PPQ and this PMG 65 EPQ example. Nothing finer has been inspected to date from either of the two major grading services. As part of the Lithuanian Collection in 2015, this example realized just over $28,000. The PCGS graded example has not been offered publicly since it was offered as part of the Tom Flynn holdings in 2008. While his piece is being offered again, its rarity and an another earnest collector could make this a once-in-a-generation offering, an offering any specialist would be remiss to pass up. In a much improved market for finest known Small Size type rarities, it should easily hit the five-figure mark.
