Uncut Sheet of 12 Minneapolis District 1928 $20 Notes
Fr. 2050-I 1928 $20 Federal Reserve Notes Uncut Sheet of 12. PCGS Choice About New 58.This is the second time that we have had the pleasure of selling this uncut 1928 $20 sheet. In April 2013, this lot sold for $14,100. There are five other $20 1928 sheets that are also known to exist: one that is also from the Minneapolis district, as well as two from Philadelphia and one each from New York and Chicago. These sheets rarely surface at auction. Aside from this piece and the one from Chicago, none have appeared at auction since 2005, evidence that these are tightly held by their owners. Our example here has but a single light center fold. Very rare; a 'must have' for any advanced collector of uncut sheets.
