Description
Prohibitively Rare Philadelphia District Uncut Sheet of Twelve $20 FRNs - One of Three Currently Reported
Fr. 2050-C $20 1928 Federal Reserve Notes. Uncut Sheet of
Twelve. PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ.In the tenth and latest edition of the Schwartz-Lindquist reference, the authors record a scant six uncut sheets for the entire 1928 $20 FRN series. Our current offering is one of three Philadelphia district uncut sheets of twelve from this emission which are currently known. This piece, which bears the C-A block along with serial numbers 00000013 through 00000024, includes one central vertical fold between the first and second columns of notes as well as some trivial corner handling, characteristics which account for the AU grade. PMG has granted this breathtaking piece the EPQ designation for complete paper surface originality, rich dark green overprint color on the face, and deep serial number embossing. This sheet last came across our desk in May 2022, and it garnered $10,800 as part of that year's Central States US Currency Signature Auction.
