Extremely Rare 1928B Minneapolis $5 Star Note
Fr. 1952-I* $5 1928B Federal Reserve Star Note. PMG Choice
Uncirculated 64 EPQ.A fantastic small size rarity, this is the only star listed in both Track & Price and the PMG Population Report for this series and district. Also, the tenth edition of Schwartz-Lindquist lists the note in this lot with serial I00101208* as the recorded low, while the high serial number listed in that reference is I00101557*. Our current offering was last on the market in our auction of The Taylor Family Collection in 2005, it is now available for one fortunate bidder to enjoy today. It is a well margined and embossed star with just a streak of as-made green ink on the back. Estimating a note of this extreme rarity is always difficult, so we will be conservative and let the bidders decide what it will take to bring home this rare Minneapolis $5 star tonight.
