Likely Unique 1928B Richmond $5 Star
Fr. 1952-E* $5 1928B Federal Reserve Star Note. PMG Very Fine
25.A fantastic small size rarity, this is the only $5 FRN star for this series and district to have been graded by PMG. Track & Price purportedly lists one other star, but that piece appeared on an internet auction site years ago and allegedly carries a serial number that is wildly out of range for the 1928B Series. Tonight's offering made its lone previous public appearance in our 2005 auction of The Taylor Family Collection and is now once again available for one small size specialist to enjoy. It is an evenly circulated and problem free replacement note that is worth whatever it takes to bring home tonight.
