Changeover Pair Fr. 2054-E/2055-E Mule $20 1934/1934A Federal Reserve Notes. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.A changeover pair are consecutive notes from two different series and in this case the later note is also a mule (a note that has its face and back plate numbers in two different sizes). The mule in this lot has a macro face number of 25 and a micro back plate number of 284. Both of these original paper surfaces Richmond $20s have visited PMG with the 1934 earning a Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ grade and the 1934A a Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ grade. The last example of this exact changeover pair in these precise PMG grades that we auctioned was just 24 serial numbers removed from the current offering and it realized $558.13 in January 2013.
