Madison, WI- Wisconsin Bank $1 18__ G2a Krause G2a Proof PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
The bank opened around 1857. The $1 design features a central design depicting three men "solving the world's problems" in the yard of a blacksmith shop. A surly badger appears at bottom center while a ONE appears across the left end in a panel and the state banking die appears at right. The note incorporates a light red-orange under tint and a dark red-orange border and counter. It is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with the usual POCs in the signature lines.
