Knoxville, TN- Bank of East Tennessee at Jonesboro $1 May 1, 1854 G80This scarce note has a rarity rating of R-7 (41-50 known) in the Garland reference. In addition to the central train vignette, Hugh Lawson White is pictured at lower right. He was president of the Bank of the State of Tennessee from 1812-27. White ran for the presidency of the United States as an Independent in 1836. Fine.
