Erie, PA- County of Erie $1 Jan. 15, 1864 Hoober 114-29 PMG Fine 12.
Towards the end of the Civil War, the County of Erie issued scrip. Printed by ABNCo, the $1 features a vignette of barrels being unloaded flanked by a small vignette of a bull at left and a vignette of Franklin talking to a child about George Washington, whose bust is sitting on a nearby table. A green and white ONE protector panel completes the design. Scarce and seldom offered.
