(Raleigh), NC- State of North Carolina $1000 Bond Apr. 1, 1868This ABNCo printed $1000 bond with a state capitol vignette was signed by Governor W(illiam) W(oods) Holden. He was governor in 1865 and again from 1868 to 1870. Holden was impeached and removed from office due to a corruption scandal. Stamp hinge repairs, splits, and edge notches are noticed. Good-Very Good. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason.
