Description
Vicksburg, MS- Bank of Vicksburg $10 18__ as G10 Kraus 4401p Leggett UNL Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.The $10 design features juvenile representations of Commerce and Agriculture seated by each other with a steamboat in the distance flanked by two ornate end panels, each bearing a large ornate script TEN. The note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock. PMG mentions stains which are three spots of an adhesive in the top margin. We also see ink transference on the back of the cardstock from a $20 note on the Bank of Vicksburg. Three examples of this note appeared in Lot 827 in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale and likely represent the lion's share of, if not the entire surviving population of, this note in Proof form.
