Saline, MI- Bank of Saline $1 Nov. 1, 1837 G2 Lee SAL-1-1 PMG Choice Fine 15.
The Bank of Saline opened in 1837 and closed the following year in 1838. This ace has seen time in circulation but faces up well and is free of any significant condition problems. The vignette at right depicting a Native American princess wandering through the forest was also used on the "Indian Princess" T35 Confederate Treasury Note of 1861. On the note in this lot at left is a farmer holding a sickle.
