Amite City, LA- Charles B. Stewart 10¢ Jan. 4, 1862We have had a couple of other examples from this issuer in past sales, but this is the first 10 cent note we have seen from Mr. Stewart. Interestingly, the note is good for "Freight, Railroad Tickets, and Postage." PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20, with some repaired edge and internal tears.
