Montgomery, AL- Bank of the State of Alabama, Montgomery Branch $50 18__ G216 Gunther-Derby AS-009-$50a Rosene 5-14 Proof PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.This Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Co. production depicts a thoughtful Native American with a tomahawk at left, two allegorical females at center, and a Native American paddling a canoe between the signature lines. Prior to now, we have auctioned just three examples, including the note in this lot, of this design in Proof form. Printed on India paper, this example has four punch cancels in the signature spaces as well as a few stains.
