The $2 denomination is the largest presently known from this commission merchant firm, apparently headquartered in Mobile, with business interests in multiple cities across Alabama and Mississippi. The note shares the same design with other denominations and was payable in Confederate Treasury Notes when presented in sums of $5 or its multiples. PMG mentions the two missing lower corners.
