Description

Eufaula, AL- Eastern Bank of Alabama $10 18__ Remainder G10b Gunther-Derby AO PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
The $10 design features a busy riverfront scene with cotton bales being unloaded with the steamboat Eufaula in the background. This is flanked by vignettes of a young woman holding a dove at right and a slave with a basket of cotton bolls at left. This latter vignette was cut down from a larger vignette that was used on the T29 Confederate $10 Treasury Note executed by Blanton Duncan in 1862. This variety has an overall red tint and a red and white TEN protector.
