Blountsville, AL- R.B. Montgomery $1 Apr. 1, 1862 Gunther-Derby AO-120-$1a Rosene 22-1 PMG Choice Fine 15.R.B. Montgomery is listed as a merchant in the 1860 census and as a dry goods merchant in the 1870 census residing in Blountsville, AL. Robert Bartley Montgomery passed away on March 4, 1874, at the age of 61. This $1 note features a vignette of the Alabama coat of arms (pre-1869) at center and a vignette of Justice standing at left. An end panel containing ONE DOLLAR is at right. PMG mentions a tear repair that is not blatantly obvious.
