Savannah, GA- Central Rail Road and Banking Co. $50 18__ Special Proof PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ.An unissued design, incorporating Danforth, Wright & Co,'s terrific passenger train vignette which comes in several variations, this $50 is a so-called "Special" or "Proprietary" Proof. These proofs were printed from the original plates by ABNCo in the 20th century for various uses. In many cases, such as this one, a Special Proof may be the only way to have an example of a design.
