Charleston, SC- City of Charleston Pay Warrant $1 May 19, 1933These pay warrants were payable with interest to the city employees near the end of the respective year and are a tangible reminder that political entities were terribly under funded during the depths of the Great Depression. This Very Fine example has been stamped "CANCELLED" and cut-out-cancelled through the signature area as is typically seen.
